Why New Built Homes Up in Chandler Prime Locations?

The Arizona Republic recently published an article, about the City’s plan to convert retail land into residential land.

The conversion of zoning will reduce commercial vacancy and bring in more “shoppers” instead of “shops” in Chandler. Recent study by the 4-corner Retail committee formed by Mayor Tibshraeny showed that the City of Chandler has 71 square feet of retail space per resident. That’s higher than the national average of 47 square feet and the SE Valley average of 43 square feet.

Pollack Real Estate Development concluded a sale of 9.61 acres on the NE corner of Alma School and Pecos to Aerie Land Development. The purchased land will be a site for multifamily homes ranging from 1-3 bedrooms, and the area will be rezoned from commercial to residential.

With this plan under way, do not be surprised to see more new construction homes rising in Chandler.
